Audrey Gibson

Education and Church Liaison Officer,  A Rocha Lebanon.

Audrey’s work experience spans the caring professions from Dental Nursing to Teaching Assistant.  Growing up in rural Somerset in the UK, Audrey developed an affinity with nature from an early age.  Later in life she was a Forest School Leader for over a decade and was able to share two of her passions: ‘being in nature’ and teaching children to enjoy and appreciate the outdoors.

Since 2015 she has been living and working in Lebanon as a Mission Partner with Church Mission Society.  Prior to joining A Rocha Lebanon she worked with another Lebanese NGO as a Special Educator and Life and Social Skills Supervisor.  During this time, she created an outdoor learning programme and trained other educators on the benefits of outdoor learning.  With A Rocha Lebanon Audrey is keen to encourage people to care for creation through a creative ‘hands on’ approach and environmental education.
